Gionee just announced this morning its new line of A1 and A1 Plus smartphones in this edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The new products carry the "DNA" Gionee, with a long-lasting battery and ostensible improvements to the quality of the photos, especially for selfies.

William Lu, president of Gionee and sole speaker of the presentation, explained that they had noticed that "more and more people consider selfies as an expression of themselves, so they tend to share their photos through various social channels, always and Wherever they are". He added: "As a manufacturer of smartphones, we hope to establish the evolution of the selfie experience, offering for this the best product at the best price."

Series A will continue to be Gionee's main line of products, and as expected, will continue to focus on selfie performance. With a camera of no less than 20 megapixels on the front, and a powerful 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera, the A1 Plus will allow users to take one of the best photos that can be obtained from a smartphone today, with selfies very produced and regardless of the amount of light.

To ensure a better result, a custom flash in the front chamber serves to distribute the light on the face (s) more evenly and smoothly. This lighting effect is able to improve facial complexion, giving users a natural and clean shine. The Gionee facial improvement algorithm automatically detects a user's face, applying personalized improvements.

But not only cameras live the phone. Both the A1 and the A1 Plus have long-lasting batteries. An integrated software and hardware solution was developed to ensure that the device always has power.

The A1 Plus carries a 4,550 mAh battery under the housing, while the A1 carries a 4,010 mAh battery, which provides enough power for users to spend a whole day (and more), filming and transmitting videos, playing games or navigation.

In addition, Gionee offers an ultra-fast charging of 18 W and two charging chips within this A series so users can enjoy a faster, safer and worry-free charging experience. The Chinese manufacturer ensures that their phones can be fully charged in 2 hours.

The perfect interaction between hardware and software allows the Series A devices to work quickly and save energy. The A1 Plus works with a MTK Helio P25 processor, while the A1 does it with a Helio P10. Both devices have the Android 7.0 operating system. With 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM, they can handle multiple tasks, including applications and games that require a lot of interaction with each other.

Being as it is the current market, it has a price slightly below the average, given its characteristics and functions noted above. First available in India and in Nepal, the A1 will cost 349 euros ($ 370 dollars), while the price of the A1 Plus will be 499 euros, about $ 529 dollars at the current exchange rate.
